Danish Manners
No 'Please,' No Problem
Imagine asking for something without ever saying "please." In Denmark, that's totally normal! There's no direct word for "please" in the Danish language. Instead, politeness is all about the phrasing and the tone you use. Danes might say "kan du være så venlig" (can you be so kind) or just add a "tak" (thanks) at the end of a request. It's like skipping the magic word but still being super polite! Turns out, you don’t need “please” when you’ve got charming manners and a friendly smile to get the job done.
