March's Cosmic Spectacle
Eclipses, Equinoxes and a Blood Moon!

March 2025 isn’t just about unpredictable weather—it’s also packed with celestial wonders! From a dramatic Blood Moon to a solar eclipse and the start of spring, the sky has plenty of action in store.
March 14: A Blood Moon Rises
If you love a little cosmic drama, mark your calendar for March 14—when the Moon will turn red during a total lunar eclipse. As Earth casts its shadow over the Moon, it will transform into a deep, eerie crimson, earning the nickname Blood Moon.
Best Viewing: North America, Central America, and most of South America will get a front-row seat to this celestial show.
March 20: The Day the Sun Stands Still (Sort Of!)
The vernal equinox arrives on March 20, officially kicking off spring in the Northern Hemisphere. On this day, day and night are nearly equal across the globe as the Sun crosses directly over the equator.
Fun Fact: Some believe you can balance an egg on its end during the equinox, but spoiler alert—it’s just a myth!
